It's a Brick.......HOUSE!!!

Seeing the progress today really made it look like it's part of our house!!!  In about a week or so it will be completely water tight with siding and a roof.  Hard to believe.

This week I need to start packing up the kitchen!  Soooooo, who's inviting us over for dinner??

Sheathing is on and brick installed today!!

I was amazed at how efficiently the brick was laid.

Basement Walls

Despite the weather impressive progress has been made.  We now have Basement walls.

We can't wait to use all of this storage space!  :)

And on this day...Let there be dirt...

Well, today was the day...yes another day.  January 17th a cold cold overcast day.  We were awakened by the sounds of heavy equipment being started and a flat bed truck idling on the street.  The time was approximately 7:30ish!  Most days I would be grumpy and lethargic, however today was not that day!

Today was the Day...the day they officially start digging out the basement and building the addition to our house.  It's going to be so awesome!   This is the blog created so that my family and I can look back and remember when!

Evan was staying the night at his sister's so I immediately made plans to pick him up early.  He wouldn't want to miss this!

But first things first....they had to deliver the a piece of equipment the night before.
